About the race
Second edition of the Sanjaya Upul Kumara Memorial & Lahiru Madhusanka Challenge Trophy — 162.9 km on a lapped circuit around Bingiriya: 1× 64.1 km big lap through Kanjukkulia, Vilaththawa, Dummalasooriya, Kuliyapitiya and Hettipola, followed by 2× 49.4 km circuits via Udubadaawa and Bowatta. Best U23 classification with prize.
Regulations
All riders must compete in their club uniform.
Age cap: riders over 50 are not eligible to start.
Two body numbers are issued per rider by the organisers. Both must be worn correctly for the entire race.
Technical assistance may only be received from the back of the peloton. Assistance while the race is in motion is not permitted.
Aero-bar riding position (hack-bar) is not permitted — using one is grounds for disqualification.
All riders must sign the starting register at least 30 minutes before the race start.
One shared spare-wheel motorbike is provided by the organisers, marked with a number. Each team is allowed 2 spare wheels on it.
Feeding is permitted only after the first 20 km and up to the final 10 km.
Any protest must be filed in writing with the chief commissaire within 30 minutes of the last rider finishing, together with an LKR 1,000 deposit. If the protest is upheld the deposit is refunded. The commissaire panel decision is final.
Prizes will be presented within one hour of the last rider finishing. Riders must attend in team kit, without helmet.
