About the race
Two-loop road race around Kalutara: 2× 70 km main loop through Katukurunda, Nagoda, Mathugama, Anguruwathota and back via Yala; then 2× 12 km city loop via Palathota. 12 km neutral roll-out from the secretariat, timed race starts at Nagas Junction (Keells frontage).
Regulations
Elite + Under-23 categories (riders born before 2008).
Team size: minimum 6, maximum 10 riders per club.
All riders must compete in their club uniform.
All riders must sign the starting register at least 30 minutes before the race start.
Two body numbers are issued per rider by the organisers. Both must be worn correctly for the entire race.
Crossing a closed level-crossing or a red traffic signal is strictly prohibited — riders who do so are disqualified.
One support motorbike per team is allowed. The organiser-issued sticker must be visible and the assigned number must be displayed on the front and rear of the motorbike.
Feeding is permitted only after the first 35 km and up to the final 10 km.
Riders must raise a hand, notify the commissaires, and drop to the back of the peloton before receiving food or drink.
Red banners will be displayed at 5 km, 3 km, and 1 km before the finish line.
Any protest must be filed in writing with the chief commissaire within 30 minutes of the winner finishing, together with an LKR 1,000 deposit. If upheld the deposit is refunded. The commissaire panel decision is final.
Prizes will be presented within one hour of the winner finishing. Riders must attend in team kit and shoes, without helmet.
Local team scoring: first 10 finishers score 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1; riders finishing within the time cut from 11th onward score 1 point each. The team whose top three finishers have the highest sum wins.
