Parangoda Youth Ride Cycling Race 2026

Eligibility & kit

• Elite + U23 men (born 2007 or earlier).

• Riders over 45 may only participate if they held a 2024 Elite-category licence.

• All riders must compete in their club uniform.

• No cap on the number of riders per team.

Race conduct

• Two body numbers are issued per rider by the organisers. Both must be worn correctly for the entire race.

• Technical assistance may only be received from the back of the peloton. Assistance while the race is in motion is not permitted.

• All riders must sign the starting register at least 30 minutes before the race start.

Team cars & support motorbikes

• Each team may use up to two support motorbikes; the motorbike itself must carry technical support equipment.

• Outside the two designated feed zones, only technical assistance may be provided — no food or drink hand-ups.

Feed zones

• 1st Feed Zone: Mandawala to Nagas Junction

• 2nd Feed Zone: Weliwerya to Delgoda

Course & finish

• 4 laps of the 38.1 km circuit = 152.3 km total.

• On lap 4, at Jambugas Junction turn left toward Parangoda and finish 0.6 km later at Parangoda Saman Piyasa.

Protests

Any protest must be submitted in writing to the chief judge within 30 minutes of the first rider finishing, together with a Rs 1,000 protest fee. The fee is refunded if the protest is upheld. The jury's decision is final.

Amendments

Any amendment to this technical guide will be decided by the jury panel after discussion with the organisers.
